New York Avenue may be a dumping point for trains going straight into Brentwood Yard. A train at the end morning rush hour could go from Shady Grove or Grosvenor, dump whoever is left on the train at New York Avenue, and then head into the yard.

You probably right on that.

I'm surprised they took off DuPont Circle, they used it as a terminal last weekend.

There are dozens of potential terminal and or turn back points in the system that do not appear in the destination code table that use to be on the original destination rolls signs on the Rohr cars. I think they were omitted because they would not be used in normal scheduled operations.
