This area dont look like the rest of Nassau county. There arent many stores or offices nearby, and the LIRR Oyster Bay Branch has headways more like LIRR in eastern Suffolk than Nassau county.
Most people dont realize just how isolated the Sea Cliff/Glen Cove/Oyster Bay area is until they MOVE there. The county rents out alot of apts in Glen Cove for seniors and disabled (yeah, real smart, isolate them further)so some people have no choice.
Population density has picked up, well, more like auto (SUV) density. They are building big million dollar homes and there's like 5-6 cars per home, so the traffic is a nightmere. More homes but little commercial development, forces more drivers onto our already narrow antiquated roads travling farther to shop and work. They should have modernized this area years ago. Expanded the roads, electrified the Oyster Bay branch and built more commercial real estate (offices, retail).
Talk about poor planning.
