Uh oh....you got me started on how much i *hate* the design of the DC-10 airliner. Personally, I think it's pathetic that they are still flying - I won't step foot one one at all. Not only related to hydralic issues, but also that MD knew about the rear cargo door problems, and used it's cozy FAA relationship to get around actually solving it. But hey, Boeing does the same thing with the 737 rudder problems (and just a few weeks ago, the "impossible" happened and a 737 rudder started deflecting all by itself).

ANYWAY

I think it's funny that this suit was settled, as there was a story on NBC, bashing an ABC story, that used this case as "proof" that ADA isn't an out of control law....
