Additionally, 22L/4R is the longest EWR runway and used usually for landings, although it's not unheard of for landings on both runways or takeoffs on the other. Sit in IKEA's parking lot if you wanna check for yourself.
Note that there are still displaced thresholds on the runways, meaning that although the runway is so many feet long, a little bit at the ends are not usually used. The landings are marked from the displaced threshold, and most takeoffs occur at the threshold, but if you need additional room, you can start from before the threshold. I will scan in a picture of an actual FAA diagram showing these and the lengths etc. Hopefully in a few days.
