Okay airport nuts, I was reading on the Port Authority web site about Newark Airport and found this under Facts/History: Runways.

> Runway 4R-22L: 9,300 feet long by 150 feet wide,

I thought 4R-22L was *one* runway. What does it mean by treating 4R and 22L seperately? They say the same thing about 4L-22R: "4L has ILS and Approach Lighting System and 22R has (various other things)."
