I live in Suffolk county, and am very use to the length of time that it takes for a light to go from yellow to red here. The lights in NYC may not be literally less than a second, but they are NOTICBLY shorter within NYC than they are in Nassau and Suffolk. If I am used to driving at home, and then drive to Brooklyn or Queens, it does take a bit of adjusting before knowing whether I can "make" a light or not once across the county line. Responses
