[ Read Responses | Post a New Response | Return to the Index ] Posted by Jeffrey Rosen on Mon Mar 1 17:45:29 2004, in response to Re: Today's R1/9 trip, Kevin, somebody on the trip, a former motorman was telling me (I'm sure you know this, but I'm posting it for everyone to read) that on the R1-9's, if you centered the reverser into neutral, the deadman would be disabled and you can lift the controller without dumping. However the lights on the side destination signs would go out so if a supervisor was riding on the train and the destination sign lights went out, he would know the motorman was coasting.
