In theory, both should accelerate at the same rate (2.5 MPHPS)
until they reach the end of the resistance points at about 18 MPH.
From there until balancing speed the lighter R40s should have
a definite acceleration rate advantage. This assumes the same
gear ratio.

However, according to Geno's book, the slant-40s have a 7.2
ratio while the R-68 is about 5.0 This may be an error since
the same ratio is listed for pre- and post-GOH cars.
