Well IIRC there are 2 support columns for the Broadway El on the southeast corner of Broadway and Lex that sort of "stick out" if you will, at an odd angle, in a direction consistent with what would have been the turnouts to the Lexington Avenue El. I don't know for sure if this is what they are, but it looks like it. I was even able to pick them out while looking out the back window of a Queens-bound Z train approaching Gates Avenue. I also seem to recall later reading somewhere that this was the case but I don't remember where. Can anyone confirm this? Responses
