Yes, most of the TA/OA buses did indeed have the DD 6V-71N (a small group did have the DD 8V-71N). In regards to the original 2,656 affected buses NYCTA was of course the largest group. I don't know what engines were in the CTA buses (my guess is the 8V-71N). I know the SCRTD buses had the 8V-71N. I was thinking that perhaps the bigger 8V-71N may actually have been harder on the A-frame due to the increased power, torque strength and weight. Re: 6V-71: You're right that engine was simply overburdened in the '81 & '83 TA/OA RTS. Responses
