I mean, exactly how many trains per day even USE the Bay Ridge Line? One? Phooey. That could be done by truck.
Whoa, you should actually turn in your railfan liscense after that last sentence, but seriously, they were going to use the Bay Ridge line. It was a plan, but I don't know what happened to it. As for the possible use of the Bay Ridge line, it's no big deal. The ROW is built for 4 tracks, even though they only have one track active. There's plenty room for two subway tracks, and 1 for the freight. For FRA laws, that's fine, as long as the subway and RR donw' share the tracks, they can run next to each other.
