8 inches? Yup, that'll do it. That also doesn't shock me considering the infrequent usage of the museum equipment.

BTW, have the museum cars been retrofitted with composite brake shoes or do the still have the old steel ones? Nonetheless, I'm bringing ear plugs tomorrow.
