If I remember right, 10 cars of the R-38's (4140-4149?) had air-conditioning (or something that looked like air conditioning vents)BEFORE they were rebuilt. From what I remember, the AC (if it was AC)didn't work too well on these cars. R-32's were strictly fans. I thought the R-38's looked better.
