By the way, the B110 (the unsubsidized Boro Park-Williamsburg route by Private Transportation) is a BI-DIRECTIONAL express bus that's profitable

It's profitable because it's ridership for religious reasons have no other choice.

In addition it operates very old buses that are in a state of repair that is not acceptable if the MTA opearated the service

Plus what's the pay scale for the drivers?

Does it operate frequent service or only service in the most profitable points in the day?

Was the MTA operate buses and subways only to be profitable, there would be far less service. Few night and weekend service. Shorter bus routes and lower salaries for drivers and train operators. The MTA would have no problem filling bus driver positions with the army of immigrants who would work for far less then the current MTA staff. But on the flip side the level of safety, professionalism and reliablity would be at all time lows
