Heh. Folks must have been amused indeed ... hope folks explained that they were riding a rolling museum that day, that it was truly "special." Looking back after all these years, I really loved working them, both in the middle and up front. They truly were "hands-on," something you just don't get being a TWU member with today's rolling tuna cans.

And air-conditioning? Feh. Slide the roof vents open, turn up the fans and you didn't need air conditioning. Well, maybe in August. :)

I really loved working the old gals though - I suppose that's why just going for ride wouldn't be all that special for me personally. Now getting some HANDLE time again on the Brighton express track and CPW, a WHOLE round-tripper like the old days - THAT'D be the teats. =)
