they seemed to muck with it a few times though. for a stretch it ran pretty damn often in the AM rush, as early as 7am, and you could get a seat. after they reopened the line past WTC and re-institute the express W, it was standing room only for a week or two, until the mystery folks with the clipboards showed up, took notes, and they re-arranged service again. after the v started, it was back to standing room only on N's, empty W expresses...
...now one can only wonder if the bottleneck-that-should-not-be at ditmars will be remedied by all-local service.
