Yes. The bus doors are "closed" to those wishing to ride entirely within Queens.

[To me, "closed door" means not picking up or discharging passengers at all (ie. express service).]

That would be non-stop. Actually, NYCT's express routes operate closed-door in the pick-up and drop-off segments and non-stop between those segments.
