The station was only built to original BMT lengths, which means it's too short to completely handle a full 10 car train of 60' cars. There's a switch just north of this platform, and any train which uses that track will foul it up, blocking trains from the middle track. If we only had 4 or 5 cars, we could have probably laid up onto that track without causing a problem, instead of doing what we did (stop just north of the R40 consist in the middle track, then have everyone exit the train thru it).
