I am reposting an earlier response to you "That was not a battlefield defeat. that was an attack on our greatest city. Destruction of the Taliban and Al Qaida are called for along with a through investigation of the TRUE motivation of the killers, particularly the "Saudi angle". But until then, police on the ground who are fighting to protect us from any furher attacks need to work together with the American People including railfans to insure public safety. The political (bu$h) issue is an entirely seperate matter."

We do not have to retreat into paranoia. Hpoefully America can shake the Republican lamprey that is sucking out all that is great about America, But the war will go on. taliban and al qaida still exist and they need to be totally eradicated from the face of the earth and the Iraqi situation needs to be stabilized enough by a force under UN command who can someday give Iraq back to it's people without fear that Iraq would become an islamist rat's nest.
