Of course, it was staged as seen at Hammels Wye Junction on the IND Rockaway line. This is the infamous 1990 publicity photo set up by NYC Transit as a thank you and good luck to outgoing TA President David Gunn. If you look here, the three divisions (IND, IRT and BMT) are represented by each of the car types from left to right.

The front roll signs that are set on each of the cars are said to have a very clever, cryptic and subliminal message that was to be sent to Gunn himself. The message was, "A to Z, you're number 1!"
