Early in 1985 I saw this poem spray-painted on the plastic seat of either an uptown 6 train at Bklyn Bridge or a Metropolitan Avenue bound M train at Chambers St :

After work all day
I ride the "A"
Four thugs with screwdrivers come my way
And so I say
Go for it, suckers, and make my day !
