Neat collection! Thanks for sharing. Man, those photos sure bring back memories of when I was in elementary school in the late 70's/early 80s. I used to ride the subway from my home stop at 169 to 179 near where my elementary school was (and I think, still is). I remember riding on some of those grafittied trains back then. By the time I graduated elementary school in 1982 and went to the JHS a few blocks away from the elementary school, I was riding mostly the new R44s to and from school.
