Actually, even if you got everything else running perfectly, Win95 would always crash after 49.7 days - it had an internal 32-bit timer that didn't overflow correctly, so as soon as you hit 2³² milliseconds - down it went!
It took a few years to notice the problem, because making it all the way to 49.7 days was so rare. :)
