Well, you might say I had my share of winning R-10 slides at these UTC (ex-MESTA) auctions, including a Kodachrome one which featured a freshly built and delivered #3167 at Coney Island Yard that I paid a then record $50.00! That green R-10 slide you may have witnessed go upward in price was for #3047 with the R-16 type storm door purchased at $35.00 by a member whose identity I will not reveal here on this Subtalk board, but let us just say that I did eventually was to get that particular slide which was handed down through some changed transactions and paid only a measly 50 cents!
