Reminds me, I remember some bad "elevator bunching" at the Manhattan mall.
Whenever there was a long wait, the first one that showed up was packed. I'd wait for the 2nd one, usually right after, and pass by the packed elevator making extra stops while I cruise right up to the food court.
I believe certain elevators did make limited stops, but they weren't always running "express".
