Tail tracks (how long?) were present though, unlike the bumper blocks now in the station, which make for excruciatingly slow time for the signals to clear (it seems longer, if that's possible, now that the new signals have been installed), and for further extension of the line to require, I imagine, the demolition of the improvements brought by the past renovation.
