The Q10A starts at Queens Blvd near Keww Gardens Road. (Next to Nathan's) It goes down Queens Blvd to the Van Wyck then down Van Wyck all the way to JFK. I think the only stops it makes is for lights and traffic jams.
Because of congestion at the bus stop there at Queens Blvd, the timetable is rarely if ever on time. What I tell customers when they talk about how long it takes to get from here to an airport, I tell them to travel as early as possible.
Why?
>Once you get to the airport these days there will be delays between arriving at the terminal and getting the plane off the ground due to baggage screening and other safety prcautions after 9/11.
>There might be delays along the way you get to the airport. If there is a traffic condition on the Van Wyck, the Q10a will not get to JFK in the time it is supposed to.
>There is always the possibility you might get on the wrong bus. IIRC the Q60 also stops where you would catch the Q10a.
I also say to customers when I tell them to be as early as possible:
>No joke!
