My two cents...

Here's the info about the renumbering of many Bronx routes back in the early 80's. I remember the TA said this was being done to eliminate confusion, but 'til this day I don't understand how it would reduced confusion.

Bx4 Bx34 Transferred from COL to WAL
Bx6 Bx30 COL to WAL Extended from Boston/Corsa Av to Co-Op City
Bx7 COL - Discontinued
