Well, you won't find me amoung them. When a person takes the time to make some thoughtful remarks, at least the rest of us can do is listen.
I did found one point to criticize:
"I may have to keep a fleet of 30 footers on reserve and rotate them into service around 10pm."
Back in the TROLLEY days (early 1900s) they learned that you cna't make money with two fleets. They were summer & winter.
This is why the LIRR & NJT closes off cars on their trains. Because it's not cost effect to reduce the size of the train, just lock out a few doors & reduce the crew size.
So, 30' vs. 40' ... nah, just run the same bus a little emptyer ... that is unless you were running the shortys somewhere in the day time, then you save some fuel.
