Blitz did a really nice job refurbishing them. Many of those buses saw their way to MSBA after the city retired them. Not long after MSBA got them, the first thing they did was disconnect the A/C units (many of which ran beautifully) so the drivers wouldn't want them. Out of all of them, 5549 was the fastest, since it had a 4-speed transmission. 5403 couldn't get out of its own way (MSBA finally corrected that just before it was scrapped). Towards the end, they didn't bother changing the fluids or doing anything to maintain them. Really a shame....
