The GO and flyer gave no impression that the gate cars could or would be running by themselves on any of these 4 trips. That we did 1.5 trips on the shuttle without the R1/9's was a pleasant suprise. Those gate cars have a bit of pep, considering that 1273 (the middle car) is only a trailer.

Question: do these cars still have the lightweight IRT trucks they had when they were Q types, or do they have some other type?
