My NB Q train this afternoon was held at DeKalb for a few minutes. The holding lights went out just as a W appeared through the cracks in the wall. Naturally, one of us had to wait at the merge -- and, since I was on the Q, the W had the lineup.
Why couldn't we be held another 30 seconds at DeKalb? Can't the guy who controls the holding lights see that a W is on its way? Or release us early so we can slip in front of the W without holding it up. But don't explicitly send us both into a merge at the same time!
