Generally they were pretty tame but my one time out as a conductor on a set of them I had a 5 car with no motors and stuck brakes and a 6 care that didn't go through series before it hit full parallel on takeoff. This resulted in a pig in a poke ahead of me and a charging rhinoceros behind me with my legs and me between them while they fought it out. Not fun.

One of many problems with R10's was stuck brakes and cams that were in the wrong location at startup.
