Adam,
Fresh Pond Depot was buit in the late 1950's by the New York City Transit Authority.
It was opened in July of 1960.
The original Fresh Pond was indeed a Trolley Barn that was acquired by the City when the Brooklyn Manhattan Transit Company was taken ove in 1940.
