Actually, I don't think they even let them get to be 12 years old. A good friend of mine is the general manager at Hertz's San Diego operation and they had a couple 1995 high-floors sitting in the lot out of service once the brand new low-floors were delivered. I don't know where they sent them, but they disappeared about two months ago.
perhaps they just cycle stuff around their system....I dunno.
