And wasn't that in the mid/late-70's rather than the 80's? When I was very young, I used to enjoy riding the double-deckers on the M5 -- and I wasn't very young anymore in the 80's.

(And I do remember hearing about issues with stuff overhead. Apparently that's why they only ran on the M4 and M5.)
